This workbook provides structured comprehension lessons and vocabulary building for young children who either have not started talking or have minimal verbal skills. Every lesson is designed with a pictured answer for every question or statement. This allows the child to simply point to the correct picture if he/she cannot answer orally.
Numerous concepts, action words, and new vocabulary are introduced in the lessons. If the child does not choose the correct picture (answer), the instructor should point to the correct picture and explain why it is the answer. Explaining the information while the child is looking at the picture adds the knowledge to the child’s memory. The lesson should be repeated to see if the child understood and remembered the information.
