Amy Buie, MEd, BCBA, LBA, is a Board Certified Licensed Behavior Analyst and has over 20 years of experience with students who have Autism or Asperger’s Syndrome. She is the founder of The Center for Autism Education, a non-profit school for children and adults with severe behaviors.
She is recognized as a Missouri Autism Consultant and has worked with school districts as a consultant for the last 15 years. Amy has a Masters Degree in Special Education and frequently presents at workshops and conferences throughout the Midwest. As a faculty member at the University of Missouri Saint Louis, Amy teaches course-work in Autism Studies for the Masters Program in Special Education.
Her area of expertise is working with Functional Behavior Assessments and Reinforcement Based Strategies for Behavior Reduction. Amy has a passion for helping children with special needs succeed in and out of the classroom and has worked tirelessly to help a number of students achieve success.
