Anne Marie Mauricio

Anne Marie Mauricio, Ph.D., is a child and family psychologist who has spent over 20 years developing, implementing, and evaluating empirically supported, culturally responsive, family-centered interventions. Currently, Anne Marie is a Family Intervention Scientist and Associate Research Professor at the Prevention Science Institute at the University of Oregon (PSI; https://psi.uoregon.edu/), and a Trainer and Implementation Consultant for Northwest Prevention Science (https://www.nwpreventionscience.org/), an agency leading dissemination of the Family Check-Up and Everyday Parenting program. She is also faculty in the University of Oregon Counseling Psychology program, where she teaches doctoral students how to deliver the Family Check-Up and Everyday Parenting program.

Anne Marie trained with Drs. Elizabeth Stormshak and Thomas Dishion, developers of the Family Check-Up and Everyday Parenting program, and she now trains and supervises other providers in the model across the United States and internationally. She also conducts research aimed at enhancing the acceptability, feasibility, uptake, and reach of the Family Check-Up and Everyday Parenting program for families and providers. She enjoys working with the Family Check-Up and Everyday Parenting program because it emphasizes a strengths-based and collaborative process focused on parent empowerment and autonomy and because a cornerstone of the model is tailoring the intervention to support families in receiving the services they need and want. She is inspired by and grateful to the 100s of providers and families who have contributed to the content in this curriculum.
