Carol Miller is a certified school counselor for the Lansing Central School District in Lansing, New York, and has worked as a school counselor for over 20 years. She received her bachelor’s degree in anthropology at the State University of New York at Albany before pursuing her master’s degree in school guidance and counseling from Sage Graduate School in Troy, New York. Carol has experience as an elementary, high school, and middle school counselor. She is the founder and author of the Middle School Counselor blog and the founder of several popular Facebook school counselor groups.
Carol won the 2014 New York State Counselor of the Year Award for her dedication to her students and the counseling profession. She has presented nationally for the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), New York State School Counselor Association (NYSSCA), and the National Conference on Girl Bullying. She is a vice president of middle level school counseling for NYSSCA and a member and past president of the Tompkins Area Counselor Association, and she holds membership in ASCA, the National Association for College Admission Counseling, and the New York State Association for College Admission Counseling.
