David Armstrong

David Armstrong is Lecturer in Special and Inclusive Education at the University of South Australia, having previously worked in the UK as a specialist teacher and as a researcher. From 1996-2008 he worked as a lead practitioner/SENCo with a range of children and young people with disabilities and barriers to learning, including the homeless, excluded children and adults with learning disabilities.

David has published two books with Garry Squires on dyslexia and special educational needs. His current research is focussed on psychological perspectives on development and learning in children and young people and inclusion; and on the psychological and educational implications of disability.
