With over 22 years of experience working as a school-based occupational therapist, independent contractor for early intervention services, private practitioner, speaker, consultant, author, and inventor, it is safe to say Jenny Clark is an expert in her field.
Clark received her Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy in 1990 from the University of Kansas before becoming the author of the best-selling book, Learn to Move, Move to Learn: Sensorimotor Early Childhood Activity Themes. This book focuses on sensory development and is packed with creative theme-based group lessons. Recently, Clark wrote the sequel entitled Learn to Move, Moving Up! In addition to these award-winning publications, Clark has published two educational DVD’s. The first was a companion to her first book entitled Learn to Move: Dinosaurs, and the second, Sensory Processing Disorder Kit: Simulations and Solutions for Parents, Teachers, and Therapists, won the 2007 media in excellence video award from Autism Society of America. Clark’s newest publication is a music CD called Sing, Move, Learn which also accompanies songs in her first book.
Clark has also written multiple journal articles that have been published in professional journals such as OT Practice, Occupational Therapy Forum, and Journal of Occupational Therapy Students. She has spoken both nationally and internationally on many subjects, including sensory integration and processing. Currently, Clark owns a pediatric therapy private practice called Jenny’s Kids, Inc.
