Dr Kate Lafferty is a Lecturer within the School of Education at La Trobe University. Her areas of expertise are assessment, pedagogy, gifted education and gender.
Kate is an experienced teacher having worked across primary, secondary and tertiary sectors for over 24 years as both a generalist teacher and Gifted Education specialist and also taught at the post-graduate level at Monash University. Kate’s specialised work in schools has spanned second language teaching, science education, gifted education and curriculum and program development. She has worked with several schools as a consultant in gifted education and is an experienced writer and presenter of professional learning for teachers.
