Ruth MacConville

Ruth MacConville is both a practitioner and a writer and has successfully completed doctoral research in the area of social inclusion. She is head of Special Educational Needs Services in the London Borough of Ealing and has previously worked as a teacher in mainstream primary and secondary schools, and in special schools.

Ruth is the author of several books on promoting happiness, resilience and well-being in young people. She has a special interest in pupil voice and her recent publication `Looking at Inclusion; Listening to the voices of young people' has been adapted into successful training materials. Ruth is the creator of the `Powerful Voices' conferences for children which are now delivered in many Local Areas.
