Sarah Mares
Dr Sarah Mares, BMBS, FRANZCP, Cert Child & Adol Psych MMH (Infant) is a child and family psychiatrist with an established clinical and academic interest in attachment, developmental psychopathology, parenting assessment, and therapeutic work with high-risk infants, young children, and their families. She is a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Child Development and Education, Menzies School of Health Research in Darwin. Recent positions include: Senior Staff Specialist in the Alternate Care Clinic for children in Out of Home Care at Redbank House in Western Sydney; Hearings Member of the NSW Medical Council’s Health and Conduct Programs; and consultant to Anglicare Adoptions (NSW). She is an experienced multidisciplinary educator and was Director of Advanced Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Head of Infancy and Early Childhood Studies at the NSW Institute of Psychiatry, 1998-2010.
