Sylvia Rodger

An internationally recognised authority on ASD, Sylvia is a specialist Occupational Therapist with diverse experience in private practice and the University sector. She is currently Director of Research & Education at the Autism CRC in Queensland where her role is to oversee the strategic direction and operation of the Autism CRC. A consultative leader, researcher staff and finance manager, she is a passionate educator and dedicated to fostering the development of undergraduates, graduates and post-graduates in the fields of occupational therapy and ASD.

Sylvia has experience as a private practitioner and ran her own occupational therapy practice for 10 years while raising children. She has received many national awards within occupational therapy and was inducted in 2013 as a Fellow of the American Society of Occupational Therapy Academy of Research. Sylvia was named as a Member of the Order of Australia in the 2015 Australia Day Honour’s List.
