The books in the FACTS series include highly structured augmentative communication training strategies designed for use with nonverbal students, students on the autism spectrum, and other students with limited verbal skills. Nonverbal clients respond to the task items by pointing to symbols or performing simple actions.
Designed to to provide resources to prepare lessons for students who have special needs, easy to use materials with step-by-step instruction for speech pathologists, special education teachers, teacher's aides and parents.
Reproducible communication boards, data sheets, and 8.5” x 11” vocabulary boards are included in the manual. Vocabulary learned by most children prior to entering kindergarten is emphasised. Parents can learn to use the activities at home.
