The activities in FACTS: Seasons can be used to teach basic vocabulary skills to nonverbal students or students with limited communication skills. Targets basic vocabulary concepts (e.g., hot, cold) using stories and activities that relate to common seasonal activities.
FACTS: Seasons includes highly structured augmentative communication training strategies for use with nonverbal students, students on the autism spectrum, and other students with limited verbal skills. Nonverbal clients respond to the task items by pointing to symbols or performing simple actions.

The instructional activities are broken down into small steps. The manual includes all verbal stimuli and includes specific procedures for reinforcing correct responses.
Components of the program:
Vocabulary learned by most children prior to entering kindergarten is emphasised. Parents can learn to use the activities at home.
