Jack's dad leaves his job at the rubbish tip to become a self employed welder. He sells the TV to get a welding kit, but he doesn't get round to welding anything, so Jack tries his hand at it. With scraps of metal he builds a man. Metal Man is stolen by the geek, the thug and the fat man and when he escapes from the geek's lab, Metal Man has a mind of his own. That's not what the thieves wanted. They wanted to control him. Metal Man knows what he wants, but has little wisdom and that leads him into trouble.
