Sample game items:

The instructor reads the items to the student:

  • Think of a word that starts with the same sound as "ball"
  • Put these three sounds together to make a word - p - i - t
  • Change the last sound to /t/ to make a new word: man (Correct answer: mat)
  • Clap your hands as you say each syllable in these words. (Words varying in syllable length are read to the students)
