When Jordy's mum and dad split up, and his mum leaves her job as a dentist to be a hippie tea leaf reader in the little town of Black Creek, Jordy goes with her. He hates the tin-pot school where he is bullied by Buster Button and his gang. And he hates the creepy house his mother rents from the slimy landlord, who says there is no attic when there clearly is. There appears to be no way into the attic, but there does seem to be somebody hiding in there. Jordy learns that the veiled person in the attic is Yasmin, but is she real, is she a ghost or a refugee? And would finding out mean betrayal?
