The invading army of the future have banned books and schools. They will do all the thinking. A group of students, including Ginger, try to fight back. When the army blow up the factory next to Ginger's house where time experiments have been happening, time waves lap the local area, sometimes flipping it back twenty years into the past. Kurt, living in our time, has to save Ginger from the troopers, but it is hard to fight an enemy you can only see in the mirror.
