What’s Missing? Second Edition is designed to promote observation, visual and auditory skills including the development of descriptive language. Comprising 48 fully-updated colour flashcards depicting 24 everyday scenes, each card shows a complete scene and another with five items missing. The scenes are presented with increasing levels of difficulty to allow for selection when working with students of different ages and abilities. Missing items may be categorised as either having no influence on a situation, causing an inconvenience, preventing the functioning of an object, or not being possible in real life – both encouraging basic reasoning and the development of problem solving skills.
